I’m kicking off this year’s LauLauLand posts with my new monthly StyleXCinema roundup, showcasing all the films I find that are packed with style inspiration.
It’s no secret that I’m a little obsessed with The Virgin Suicides (you can find my VS inspired dress here). Sofia Coppola’s masterpiece is iconic in its style. Dreamy, nostalgic shots are punctuated by simple summer dresses, delicate florals, girly lace and some awesome teenage bedroom interiors that make me mourn the days where I would lie on the carpet for an hour listening to a Spice Girls CD.
That’s not to say we can’t still work a little teenage girl style into our adult wardrobes. So here are a few of my favourite fashion moments to give you some inspiration.
